Courses

Cal Poly Pomona's Finance, Real Estate, and Law option in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration offers a comprehensive education for students aiming for careers in finance, real estate, or business law. The program emphasizes a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application through hands-on learning, aligning with the polytechnic tradition of the university. Students choose from three emphasis areas: Finance, Real Estate, or Business Law and Contract Management, each designed to meet specific career goals. The Finance emphasis prepares students for advanced financial analysis and valuation, with courses aligned with the CFA Institute’s curriculum, positioning them well for the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. The Real Estate emphasis covers brokerage, mortgage lending, and appraisal, equipping graduates with the equivalent of two years of experience for California real estate licensing requirements. The Business Law emphasis offers two paths: Business Law, which serves as a strong foundation for law school and corporate management, and Contract Management, which prepares students for careers in contract administration and analysis. Overall, the program aims to develop well-rounded, people-oriented leaders ready to excel in their respective fields.
