General Information

The Collins Ambassador Program is designed to:

  • Provide a unique leadership opportunity to Collins College students
  • Support the College in its recruiting efforts to high schools and community colleges
  • Promote involvement and volunteerism among current Collins College students


  • Be recognized as a member of a highly regarded and prestigious student group which showcases Collins’ best students
  • Exposure to College administrators, faculty and staff, Board of Advisors and distinguished guests
  • Access to a variety of professional networking opportunities such as Board of Advisors meetings and Alumni events
  • Gain experience in leadership,  public speaking and career development
  • Receive priority to attend all college sponsored events


  • Visit assigned high schools and community colleges to conduct information sessions about the College
  • Support and attend major College events including (but not limited to):
    • Bronco Fusion, Preview Day, Board of Advisor meetings, Hospitality Uncorked, Showcase of Excellence, Collins Connection, Hospitality Career Expo, Richard N. Frank Lectureship Series
  • Assist in on-campus information sessions and new student orientations
  • Serve as tour guides and hosts for prospective students and special guests of the college
  • Increase student awareness of co-curricular events, scholarship opportunities and volunteerism

Eligibility Requirements

  • Have a minimum CPP 3.0 GPA
  • Have completed a minimum of two quarters as a Collins College student
  • Ability to participate in a minimum term (Spring to Spring)
  • Ability to demonstrate superb oral communication skills, public speaking skills, an outgoing personality, commitment, enthusiasm, and active involvement within The Collins College 

Application and Selection Process

  • Applications for the 2014-2015 academic year are closed.
  • Complete an application including:
    • A complete application
    • Answers to 3 short essay questions
    • 2 recommendation forms
    • Current resume
    • Unofficial transcript printed in Spring of that year
