2017-2018 Collins Ambassadors

General Information

The Collins Ambassador Program is designed to provide students in the Collins College a unique leadership opportunity. Ambassadors are involved with outreach, recruitment, and public relations activities for the College. Those students selected to serve will gain valuable experience working with a team of students, interacting with the public, and developing leadership and career skills.

Duties

  • Represent the College at outreach, recruitment, and public relations activities, both on and off campus
  • Provide information to prospective students, parents, teachers, and counselors, regarding student life at Collins College including co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, scholarship opportunities, study abroad programs, and career options in hospitality
  • Conduct presentations, workshops, information booths, and campus tours
  • Support and attend major college events and host any industry guests in attendance
  • Provide Collins College walking tours to prospective students and guests

Career Goal:

My career goal is to develop youth activity programs within the private club industry.

I love Collins College because we are given the tools and resources to develop

our dreams of working in the hospitality industry into reality.

Career Goals:

My goal is to become the General Manager of a full service luxury hotel.

Why Collins?

I love The Collins College because it is filled with bright & big personalities that have a passion for Hospitality.  Everyone, students & teachers alike, are pushing for the success of the people around them.

Career Goal: I would like to either get into Sales in a major hotel/resort or become Food & Beverage Director of a hotel/resort or private club, aiming more toward a City Club.

I love The Collins College because it has provided me with many opportunities for professional development. The faculty & staff are the reason we are one of the top hospitality programs.

Career Goal:

My career goal is to become a Director of Special Events & Catering for a Sports Entertainment Facility with Legends Hospitality

To become the Director of Special Events at a Marriott or Hilton in Los Angeles.

Career Goal:

I would love to work for the hospitality department for the San Francisco Giants stadium.

Career Goals:

My career goal includes working within a hotel. Thanks to the opportunities that Collins College has given me, I have learned that I want to work on the sales and events side of the industry.
