The Learning Resource Center

Welcome to the Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Cal Poly Pomona!

Our Mission

The Learning Resource Center’s mission is to promote student success through TutoringWorkshopsTest Preparation, and Study Skills development.

About Us

Located on the second floor of the University Library (Building 15) in Rooms 2919 and 2921, the LRC is the University’s most comprehensive tutoring service, promoting the development of students’ critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills through tutoring, workshops, test preparation, and study skills development. The LRC's programs are Bronco Tutoring, Reading, Advising, & Mentoring Program (RAMP), and University Writing Center (UWC).

Appointment, online, and drop-in tutoring are available beginning Week 2 of the quarter through Finals Week.

Appointment Scheduling/Drop-in Tutoring

Currently enrolled students are invited to call or visit the LRC to schedule an appointment. From the GradesFirst platform, students are also able to cancel appointments (with at least 12 hours notice), track tutoring activity, respond to surveys, and personalize their profile with a photo.

After reading the LRC's Policies and Codes of Conduct, students may utilize the LRC's drop-in tutoring services and schedule one-on-one appointments with Bronco tutors for courses in Math, Science, Engineering, Business, Social Sciences, Liberal Arts, and other non-STEM courses; RAMP tutors for reading and study skill assistance; and, UWC tutors for writing assistance.
