ERWC: Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum.

EXPOSITORY READING AND WRITING CURRICULUM

The ERWC (Expository Reading and Writing Course) is a college preparatory, rhetoric-based English language arts course for grade 12 designed to develop academic literacy (advanced proficiency in rhetorical and analytical reading, writing, and thinking).

The University of California has approved the ERWC for area "b" credit (from the "a-g" requirements), and the Course meets college preparatory requirements for both the UC and CSU. The CSU ERWC is designed for a grade 12 English language arts course. There is also curriculum for grades 7-11.

Professional Learning

High School English language arts teachers may register for CPP sponsored workshops to become an ERWC-certified instructor.
