Curriculum 2025 - 2026
Business Core Courses
Students are required to take the 14 core courses in several business disciplines (See College of Business Administration 2025-2026 Course Catalog for more information). This foundation gives students rudimentary knowledge of accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, operations management, and international business. A 2.0 cumulative GPA is required in core courses including sub-plan courses for the major in order to receive a degree in the major.
CIS Career Tracks
The CIS Department has established three career tracks in the major. Every CIS major student selects one of these tracks. To graduate with a major in CIS, students complete the track recommended courses and proceed to complete some track elective courses. Students can take classes from different tracks. Consultation on track selection is available through the track coordinators or the department chair.
- Applications Development Track - (coordinator: Dr. Hui Shi)
- Business Intelligence Track - (coordinator: Dr. Mehrdad Koohikamali)
- Information Security and Forensics Track - (coordinator: Dr. Indira Guzman)
