National Days of Service

Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King's vision of a "Beloved Community."

Farm Workers Day recognizes the dedication shown by those who harvest our food and brings awareness to the challenges they face.

The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance honors those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks against our country. Volunteers pay tribute to the thousands of heroes who rose in service. The National Day of Service helps transform symbols of tragedy into a day of doing good.

Ms. Esmeralda Vargas, Principal at Kellogg Polytechnic Elementary, shared the following about Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service:

On behalf of our entire school community, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your time, effort, and generosity during the MLK Service/Beautification event at Kellogg [on] Saturday. Your dedication and hard work have truly made a lasting impact on our campus, creating a more welcoming and vibrant environment for our students.💛

Hearing of so many volunteers coming together to enhance our school grounds was both inspiring and uplifting. Your commitment to giving back to the community sets a wonderful example for our students, and we deeply appreciate your partnership in making our school a better place.

Thank you again for your kindness and support—we hope to collaborate again in the future!

With a grateful heart,
Ms. Esmeralda Vargas, Principal
