ADA & Disability - Related Accommodations

Support for You

We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming Explore CPP experience. Event registrants and guests with disabilities may request the services listed below through the registration form by October 8.

Please plan ahead for your mobility needs. Wheelchairs and other personal assistive devices will not be provided, and significant walking is required between parking areas and event locations.

We will make every reasonable effort to fulfill requests received after the deadline. However, service availability may be limited, and accommodations may only be available for the individual requesting assistance.

Accessible Parking

If you have a state-issued disability parking placard or plate, you may park in designated ADA parking anywhere on campus. Accessible spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis so please plan accordingly.

American Sign Language Interpreters

American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters may be requested through the event registration form by October 8.

Live Captioning

Live captioning may be requested through the event registration form by October 8.

Animals at Explore CPP

Cal Poly Pomona welcomes service animals on campus, as long as they always remain harnessed and accompany the individual with a disability. Service animals are working animals trained to perform tasks for the benefit of individuals with a disability such as guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, alerting and protecting people prone to seizures, or other tasks directly related to a disability.  Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the American with Disabilities Act.  Please leave pets at home for their safety and comfort as Explore CPP will have large crowds and loud noise.  Please note California State Law prohibits leaving an animal inside a confined vehicle.
