We can’t wait to welcome you to Cal Poly Pomona! Explore CPP is your day to discover our campus, connect with the Bronco community, and celebrate your journey toward joining the Bronco herd.
Choose your experience — Transfer or Freshman — to plan your day, explore programming designed for you, and make the most of your visit to CPP!
On this day, you will get the chance to learn more about CPP and our programs by walking at your own pace through campus. Use the event map for help. The following activities will take place in the University Quad, University Library and Bronco Student Center:

- Transfer Experience: 9–10 a.m. | Freshman Experience: 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Choose from the following activities before your official kickoff and welcome from President Quiñones:
- Campus Tour: Explore campus highlights and learn about CPP’s history during a 30 to 40-minute guided walking tour.
- On-the-Spot Admissions: Thinking about applying for Spring 2027 or Fall 2027? Want an admission review? Submit your unofficial transcript(s) to us when you register for Explore CPP and you may receive a same-day admission decision! Learn more about how it works on our On-the-Spot Admissions page.
- Transfer Experience: 9–10 a.m. | Freshman Experience: 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
- Stop by the Resource Fair to learn more about campus resources, such as the Veteran’s Resource Center, Disability Resource Center, Athletics and more.
- Explore the various opportunities within our academic colleges and student clubs. You may spot our Formula SAE Car, the Concrete Canoe or try delicious samples from the Collins College’s Food Printer.
- Visit our Next Steps Center in the Library to get help with your CSU application, answers about financial aid, or tour The Maker Studio.
- Make sure to snap a selfie with Billy Bronco and tag us @cpporep.
- Take a piece of CPP home with you at one of our pop-up shops:
- Apiary: Explore the world of bees and beekeeping with the CPP Bee Science Education Program, with a selection of student-made products, including honey, handmade candles, soaps and more.
- Bronco Bookstore: Get 15% off CPP-branded merch, only available to Explore CPP attendees.

Explore CPP is open to anyone interested in learning about Cal Poly Pomona, including prospective first-time freshmen and transfer students, Spring 2027 admitted transfer students, families, supporters, counselors, educators, and community members.
Students, counselors, and educators should register in advance to secure their spot and receive CPP swag while supplies last. Family members, friends, and supporters do not need to register separately; students can include them as guests during registration.
Transfer Experience | 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
For Spring 2027 admitted transfer students and prospective students interested in transferring from another college to CPP for Spring 2027 or a later term.
Freshman Experience | Noon - 3:00 p.m.
For students interested in applying to CPP as first-time freshmen for Fall 2027 or a later term. Students who have completed college courses through high school dual enrollment are still considered first-time freshmen.
No, attendance is not required — but we would love to celebrate with you! Explore CPP is a great opportunity to meet your future Bronco community, explore campus resources, and take your next enrollment steps.
Explore CPP takes place across the Cal Poly Pomona campus at 3801 W. Temple Ave., Pomona, CA 91768. Activities will be held indoors and outdoors, so come prepared to walk and explore. Check out the event map for key spots to visit on campus.
Wear light, comfortable clothing and supportive walking shoes. October can be warm, and activities are spread across campus. A hat, sunscreen, and refillable water bottle are also recommended.
Keep your check-in email or text message handy for a quick arrival. We also recommend bringing:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A refillable water bottle
- A hard copy of your unofficial transcript, if you plan to participate in On-the-Spot Admissions and haven't yet uploaded your transcript(s) when you register for Explore CPP
About an hour before your selected experience begins, you will receive a mobile check-in link by email and, if you opted in, by text. Tap the link when you arrive on campus. If the link does not work, show your QR code at an event information tent and our team will assist you.
Yes. Hydration stations are available throughout campus. Beverages may also be purchased at participating dining locations.

Explore CPP is a rain-or-shine event. If rain is expected, bring a jacket, umbrella, and weather-appropriate walking shoes. We will move as many activities indoors as possible.

Parking is free for Explore CPP guests on October 24, 2026. We recommend Parking Structure 1, accessible from Kellogg Drive. Guests with a state-issued disability placard or license plate may use any designated accessible parking space on a first-come, first-served basis.
Yes! University Housing Services will open two residential communities for Explore CPP tours:
- Transfer Experience | 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Tour the Residential Suites in Building 60. - Freshman Experience | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Tour the Residential Halls in Building 74.
Housing staff will be available as listed above to lead tours, answer your questions, and help you explore CPP’s on-campus living options. Come take a look at what it’s like to live in the Bronco community!
Yes! Complimentary shuttles will run continuously throughout Explore CPP, with more than 10 convenient stops across campus. The expected wait time is less than 15 minutes.

Yes, visit the Swag Pick-Up station in the University Quad to request access. Refrigeration and storage are not available.
