Dennis Jacobsen earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon. He has taught elementary school in Illinois, ESL in France, and high school and community college in Oregon. He currently teaches in the Graduate Program in the College of Education. He has co-authored one book as well as published book chapters and journal articles on language acquisition and English learners. He is co-founder of the International Journal of Teacher Leadership and currently serves as Senior Editor of the journal. His research interests include school leadership, teacher leadership, and school improvement, and language acquisition and English learners.
