About

Nick Salerno earned his B.S. Degree and teaching credential from Cal Poly Pomona and his M.A. and Administrative/Pupil Personnel Services credentials from Azusa Pacific University. He has been teaching in our Educational Administration Credential Program for the past three years, plus eight years prior to that as an adjunct. He is also currently coordinating CPP’s Teacher Intern and Single Subject Credential Programs.

Nick has received numerous awards, including the Milken Educator Award and CPP’s Alumni of the Year Award for CEIS. Prior to coming to CPP, Nick served in many different capacities as a teacher, coach, counselor, principal, and district administrator for the El Monte Union High School District. The District was recognized by The College Board as the mid-size National Advanced Placement District of the Year prior to his leaving in 2014.
