Single Stream Recycling

Cal Poly Pomona has a Single Stream Recycling program that allows acceptable materials (listed below) to be placed in a single container. Separating the waste is no longer necessary. The only decision is to determine whether the trash is recyclable.

Plastic bottles (empty)
Glass bottles (empty)
Aluminum cans (empty)
Magazines
Catalogs
Books
Newspaper
Shredded paper (bagged)
Phone books

Unacceptable Items

Wet trash
Food items
Broken glass
Used napkins or paper towels
Restroom trash
Styrofoam
