What is NRHH

National Residence Hall Honorary is a national honor society based under the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). NRHH’s core values include Leadership, Advocacy, and Service for residents.

NRHH develops programming and advocacy events centered around volunteer work, leadership opportunities, coordinating conferences, social programs, fundraisers, and more.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of student leaders living on campus and to provide leadership development as well as service opportunities.

Leadership

NRHH provide leadership opportunities for members through eboard positions, workshops, and hosting and attending conferences.

Advocacy

Through advocacy, NRHH members can help advocate for their residents on concerns that may arise while living in University Housing.

Service

NRHH provides service through social programs, community service programs such as Beach Clean-up, and helping out our Cal Poly Pomona campus.

Eboard Officer Positions

Eboard positions, aside from President and IHC Director of Finance, are elected at the beginning of the Fall semester. Any resident can run for an eboard position.

The President of National Residence Hall Honorary serves as an Executive Board member for Inter-Hall Council. This position will:

  • Represent NRHH at Inter-Hall Council (IHC) eboard and general council meetings
  • Oversee NRHH's eboard
  • Assist with programming efforts

Position Requirements 

  • 2.0 or higher semester & cumulative GPA
  • Must be in good judicial standing with UHS & CPP
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at CPP for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
  • Must complete OSLCC Club & Organization Registration Education process

*This position is elected in the Spring semester during Eboard Elections for Inter-Hall Council.

The Director of Finance for Inter-Hall Council (IHC) also sits on the NRHH Eboard to assist with NRHH's budget. This position will:

  • Oversee NRHH's budget
  • Ensure NRHH stays under budget throughout the academic year
  • Assist as needed with NRHH programs

Position Requirements 

  • 2.0 or higher semester & cumulative GPA
  • Must be in good judicial standing with UHS & CPP
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at CPP for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
  • Must complete OSLCC Club & Organization Registration Education process

*This position is elected in the Spring semester during Eboard Elections for Inter-Hall Council.

The Director of Leadership sits on NRHH's Eboard. This position will:

  • Focus on leadership-based programs such as development workshops, conferences, and other fun programs
  • Promote and market programs for NRHH
  • Assist with NRHH's social media

The Director of Advocacy sits on NRHH's Eboard. This position will:

  • Host advocacy nights alongside Inter-Hall Council with campus partners for residents to provide feedback
  • Be a voice for residents on campus
  • Hosting and creating campaigns focusing on key issues of concern to residents

The Director of Service sits on NRHH's Eboard. This position will:

  • Develop programming focused on community service whether for the Cal Poly Pomona campus or our neighboring communities in Pomona
  • Promote and market programs for NRHH
  • Assist with NRHH's social media
