Cal Poly Pomona's Communication Studies option in the Bachelor of Science in Communication is designed to equip students with the skills needed for careers in business, government, education, and beyond. This program focuses on developing a deep understanding of communication patterns and strategies, which are crucial for roles that require effective human interaction. Students engage in a rigorous curriculum that includes practical classes like Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Communication, and Group Communication. These courses provide students with the ability to analyze and improve communication processes within various professional settings. Additionally, students gain valuable experience through research projects and events such as the annual COM Day and Alumni Night, where they apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Frank A. Tennant Endowed Scholarship
A $7,780 annual scholarship will be awarded to multiple applicants of freshmen, sophomore, or junior standing . Students active in Communication clubs and student media on campus are particularly encouraged to apply.
