First Year Student Learning Outcomes

FYE courses at CPP aim to orient students to the university and set them up for college and career success. Courses designated as FYE at CPP are designed to achieve four student learning outcomes (SLOs):

  1. Students will use information resources appropriately for professional and/or personal success. 
  2. Students will engage in campus opportunities for personal development. 
  3. Students will identify various academic and career paths. 
  4. Students will engage in a learn-by-doing experience to develop transferrable skills.
