Help shape the voice and vision of our movement! As a member of the Marketing Committee, you’ll collaborate on bold strategies to amplify our events, initiatives, and campaigns. Whether you're passionate about writing compelling content, designing eye-catching visuals, or growing our digital presence, your creativity will empower and support local entrepreneurs and businesses, and strengthen Pomona’s economic and community resilience.

Expectations and Responsibilities:  

Time Commitment:  

• 3-5 hours per month, depending on the number of campaigns and events being promoted. 

• Committee meetings: Monthly, with more frequent check-ins during active campaign periods. 

Responsibilities:  

• Collaborate with other committees to promote events, programs, and initiatives 

• Create promotional materials for workshops, membership drives, and campaigns 

• Manage the Hub’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) 

• Develop and distribute newsletters and email updates to engage members and partners

Join the Programming Committee at the Community Innovation Hub 

The Programming Committee curates and coordinates high-impact workshops, events, and learning experiences that reflect the Hub’s mission to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and equity in the Pomona community and beyond. From speaker series to hands-on training, this committee shapes the content that empowers students, local entrepreneurs, and community members to thrive. 

Expectations and Responsibilities:  

Time Commitment: 

• 3-5 hours per month, depending on the number of campaigns and events being promoted. 

• Committee meetings: Monthly, with more frequent check-ins during active campaign periods. 

Responsibilities: 

• Plan and develop programming that aligns with the Hub’s focus on workforce development, inclusive innovation, and entrepreneurship 

• Identify speakers, facilitators, and collaborators from both campus and the community 

• Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, materials, and outreach in collaboration with other committees 

• Gather feedback and assess the impact of programs to improve future offerings

Join the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the Community Innovation Hub 

The DEI Committee leads efforts to embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and access across all aspects of the Community Innovation Hub’s work. We champion inclusive practices, elevate underrepresented voices, and ensure that our programs, partnerships, and communications reflect the rich diversity of our campus and surrounding community. 

Expectations and Responsibilities:  

Time Commitment: 

• 3-5 hours per month, depending on the number of campaigns and events being promoted. 

• Committee meetings: Monthly, with more frequent check-ins during active campaign periods. 

Responsibilities: 

• Review and recommend inclusive practices across Hub events, communications, and operations 

• Support culturally responsive programming and events that highlight diverse communities and experiences 

• Collaborate with other committees to ensure initiatives are accessible and equitable 

• Develop and share educational resources related to equity, anti-racism, and inclusive innovation 

• Engage with campus and community partners to strengthen belonging and access

Join the Sustainability and Fund Development Committee at the Community Innovation Hub 

The Sustainability and Fund Development Committee ensures the long-term vitality of the Community Innovation Hub by identifying strategic funding opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and supporting resource stewardship. This committee plays a key role in sustaining and scaling the Hub’s programs, helping to deepen its impact across campus and the wider Pomona community. 

Expectations and Responsibilities:  

Time Commitment: 

• 3-5 hours per month, depending on the number of campaigns and events being promoted. 

• Committee meetings: Monthly, with more frequent check-ins during active campaign periods. 

Responsibilities: 

• Research and identify funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and donor opportunities 

• Support grant writing, reporting, and donor communications 

• Collaborate with campus and community partners to develop sustainable funding strategies 

• Assist in planning fundraising events or campaigns aligned with the Hub’s mission 

• Promote responsible use and growth of resources in alignment with community needs and impact goals
