History of the Center

The African American Student Center opened around 1995 according to the State of California Senate Certificate of Recognition letter presented to the center on May 7, 2015, which honored its 20th anniversary of operation. On April 8, 2023, the center's name officially changed to the Black Resource Center (BRC).
