Interview with Chetana Piravi

Chetana Piravi Alumni Spotlight

November 2021

I graduated from the TOM program in 2020. I was also the student assistant for the TOM department my junior and senior year, and was the President of the Operations Management Society my senior year.

I had a few summer internships at a medical device company, Applied Medical. Once I got further in my Supply Chain education, I was able to get a Supply Chain internship at Niagara Bottling. After graduating from CPP, I joined their Professional Development Program where I spent 3 months each in 6 different departments within their Supply Chain, and I am currently finishing my last rotation in our manufacturing plant before starting my full-time role in January as a Supply Chain Analyst II.

As of right now I’m learning about our manufacturing processes and ramping up for my production planning role which I will start in January. I will be a production planner for our non-water products in Rialto and Dallas. My main responsibility will be to work with our manufacturing plants to efficiently produce beverages for our customers. The whole team will be forming in January so I am looking forward to working on processes improvement projects as well outside of my day-to-day tasks.

Advice

My advice would be to be always be learning, and always be open to new opportunities and experiences. Also, make sure to connect yourself with solid mentors in your industry and company, they have a lot of knowledge to pass down to us and it can be a great networking opportunity as well.
