Lecturers to be Honored at Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night

Two nutrition and food science lecturers were chosen by their students to be honored by Cal Poly Pomona and the athletics department on Feb. 28 at Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night.

Vickie Chan was nominated by Christian Rodriguez, a distance runner on the men’s track and field team and senior in food and nutrition from Lake Elsinore. Chan will be honored at the halftime of the men’s basketball game against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Sangeeta Shrivastava (pictured left) was nominated for the honor by Natalie Di Angelo, a defender on the women’s soccer team and also a senior in food and nutrition from Torrance. She will be recognized during the halftime of the women’s basketball game against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

The athletics department organizes the annual recognition event and asks its athletes to nominate instructors.
