Horsewoman, Philanthropist, Psychologist to Speak About Women Empowering Each Other

A horsewoman, international philanthropist and doctor of psychology will speak at Cal Poly Pomona on Jan. 29 with messages about how and why successful women can empower one another.

Nancy O’Reilly, who is the owner of Amazing Horsewoman LLC, is the speaker at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center’s annual lecture and book signing at the AGRIscapes Center.

A licensed psychologist, author, and educator, O’Reilly has authored “In This Together: How Successful Women Support Each Other in Work and Life,” released Jan. 8 by Simon and Schuster’s Adams Media.

The book includes thoughts, advice, and stories from 40 successful women across a wide variety of careers. They encourage women to support each other in the workplace and in life, and provide scripts and strategies on how all woman can work together to break free from the bonds of gender inequality.

O’Reilly previously wrote “Leading Women: 20 Influential Women Share Their Secrets to Leadership, Business, and Life” and two other books, “Claim Your Power: Refine Your Life” and “Timeless Women Speak: Feeling Youthful at Any Age.”

A Montecito resident, O’Reilly owns, rides, and breeds Arabian horses.

She is the founder of Women Connect4Good Inc. foundation and chairs the board for Take the Lead Inc., whose mission is to prepare, develop, inspire, and propel women to leadership parity across all sectors by 2025.

O’Reilly also serves on the Missouri Committee on Psychology as an appointee of the governor and previously acted as director of a large employee assistance program and as a nationally certified crisis team leader in New York City after the Sept. 11 attacks.
