Crowds flocked to Tomatozania at the plant science greenhouses on March 10-12 to choose from over 200 varieties of tomato plants.
More than 1,500 people attended the event, buying more than 3,000 tomato plants, along with other vegetables, herbs and supplies.
The tomato plants went quickly: the greenhouse began with 219 varieties, but had sold out of 49 of them by Sunday afternoon.
There is still a huge selection available at the Farm Store Nursery, which has more plants in production and expects to have a healthy supply through May.
Meanwhile, the greenhouses are preparing for Pepperzania from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 14-15. Gardeners will be able to choose from a wide variety of hot peppers, along with an amazing selection of sweet peppers, eggplant, artichoke, moringa, squash, peas, cucumber, beans, and herbs.
