Keep up-to-date and informed about employment opportunities in a variety of areas, including on campus. Many of our learn-by-doing majors hire students to assist technicians in laboratories, faculty members with teaching and/or research activities, and department staff with department office business. Students can inquire in their major's departmental office to see if their program hires student assistants and what types they hire.

South Temecula Veterinary Hospital is looking for people who are passionate about quality pet care to join our team. We are a continuously growing four doctor practice located in Temecula and are proud to offer high-quality medical care to our beloved patients. The RVTs/Veterinary Assistants are responsible for coordinating and implementing the care of our patients, so it is important that he or she represents and administer the care and concern we feel for our patients and clients. He or she must be attentive to detail, personable, professional, and have a desire to learn.

Our RVTs/Veterinary Assistants are responsible for taking accurate patient histories, communicating effectively and professionally with our clients, doctors, and staff, administering care according to doctor's recommendations, assisting in surgery and patient recovery, and many more critical tasks. We are constantly updating our practices to the best benefit of our patients and clients, and the ideal candidate would be oriented to this goal. Our RVTs/Veterinary Assistants are directly responsible for ensuring all medical aspects of the facility are safe and well-maintained, so a strong work ethic is required. Our hospital has digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, full in house laboratory, cold laser, and offers acupuncture services. We strive to practice to the highest medical standards and the best benefit of our patients and clients.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality veterinary medical care and possess experience in the veterinary field. RVT license or Veterinary Assistant experience is required. Computer proficiency is a must; Avimark experience is a plus. Professionalism and confidence in communication, both verbal and written, are essential.

South Temecula Veterinary Hospital is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m-.8 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., so flexibility in shifts and dates is essential.

Part-Time Registered Dietitian (Spanish-speaking ability required)

NutritionMasters has part-time and full-time job opportunities for registered dietitians who can communicate in Spanish. These are ideal for someone who wants to pursue their certified diabetes educator credentials. Employees will provide medical nutrition therapy primarily for prenatal high-risk, including gestational diabetes, but also for other diagnoses, including Type 2 diabetes.

Food Service Worker (Per-Diem), San Antonio Regional Hospital, Upland, Calif. 

Job Description: Employee performs essential job functions of the nutrition services department, to include the following, as well as additional responsibilities as assigned:  Ambassador Service procedures & dish room activities to provide all aspects of food service for patients.  Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils while meeting all sanitation standards. Disposes trash and refuse, and sanitizes containers properly as assigned.  Serve a variety of food items to patients, employees and guests.  Maintains sanitation of work area, and performs other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications: Employee must demonstrate age-specific competency regarding food preparation and service. Current San Bernardino County Food Worker’s Certificate or food safety training certificate from an ANSI-accredited program or ServSafe required.
