About K-12 Group Tours
We are no longer booking tours for Spring 2024. We are now booking for Fall 2024 tours. Please click here to reserve your spot. We will begin booking Spring 2025 field trips on May 1st 2024. Thank you!
In-person Tours
Our own interpreters will lead walking tours with interactive activity stations through three of the following learning centers:
- Rain Bird Rainforest
- Rain Bird BioTrek Ethnobotany Learning Center and Garden
- Mesozoic Garden and Learning Center
- Project Blue Riparian Habitat Learning Environment
Tours are conducted rain or shine. Please advise students to dress appropriately (good shoes and clothes for walking). To schedule an in-person visit, please complete the Group Tour Reservation Form.

Booking Tours
Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 dates are fully booked. If you would like to be put on the waitlist, please contact biotrek@cpp.edu. Thank you!
Payment
In-person Tours
The cost per student for in-person tours is $8. We require a minimum payment of $240 (equivalent to 30 students) for all groups. We accept checks made payable to BioTrek. Payment can be brought to campus on day of tour.
STEM Field Trip Support
Stipends are available for schools to partially offset the cost of visiting BioTrek on a field trip. The funds can offset the cost of admission, transportation, and other related materials. The application period for funding will begin in August 2021. There are limited funds so please apply early. For more information, please contact Edward Bobich at biotrek@cpp.edu.
Cancellation
If your plans change, please let us know immediately at biotrek@cpp.edu so we can cancel your field trip at no charge.
