Ryan's Journey

After returning to college at 32, Ryan discovered his passion for hospitality and transferred to Cal Poly Pomona in 2023. As a Collins College student ambassador, he connected with prospective students, industry professionals and college supporters. A hotel tour with a Collins College student organization led to an internship at Hyatt Regency, where he gained experience in guest services, revenue management and employee training before advancing into a manager role.
