Cal Poly Pomona’s The Collins College of Hospitality Management faculty member Neha Singh has been selected to participate in the 2026 California State University (CSU) International Programs International Faculty Partnership Seminar, a competitive, systemwide professional development opportunity that advances global collaboration across the CSU.
The seminar will take place in Ensenada, Mexico, from June 21 to 26. Sponsored by the Academic Council on International Programs, the program brings together about 20 faculty members from different CSU campuses to foster international collaboration, intercultural communication and global understanding.
Participants are selected to reflect a broad distribution of disciplines, creating opportunities for meaningful academic exchange and partnership.
CSU International Programs, an initiative based in the CSU Chancellor’s Office, supports global learning opportunities for students and faculty. Its mission is to strengthen intercultural communication skills and deepen international understanding across the CSU community.
Faculty participation in international programs strengthens our hospitality management curriculum, expands research and industry insight and reinforces the college’s commitment to applied, real-world learning.
“Hospitality is a global, people-centered industry and our faculty play a critical role in bringing that perspective into the classroom,” said Margie Ferree Jones, dean and James A. Collins Distinguished Chair of The Collins College. “Experiences like this allow us to translate international insights into meaningful learning opportunities that prepare our students to lead with humility and cultural awareness.”
Through opportunities like the International Faculty Partnership Seminar, Collins faculty continue to expand their expertise, build global partnerships and contribute to Cal Poly Pomona’s broader mission of preparing graduates for success in an interconnected world.
