Understand Your Program Tuition

The Online Master of Science in Computer Science is a 30-unit, fully online, self-support program. Tuition is charged on a per-unit basis.

$750 per unit   ×   30 semester units   =   $22,500 estimated program tuition

The $22,500 figure reflects program tuition based on 30 units at $750 per unit. Students may have additional university, campus, technology, materials, or administrative costs depending on applicable policies.

Financial Aid and Employer Support

Eligible graduate students may have access to financial aid or employer tuition assistance. Because eligibility depends on individual circumstances and program status, link students to Cal Poly Pomona’s current financial aid resources and encourage working professionals to ask their employer about education benefits.

Cost of Attendance Elements

Tuition and mandatory fees represent only a portion of a student’s overall cost of attendance. The Cost of Attendance reflects the estimated average expenses for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) and may include:

  • Food and Housing
  • Transportation between the campus, the place of residence, and the place of work
  • Books, course materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Personal Expenses
  • Dependent Care Expenses (for those who have one or more dependents)
  • Direct Loan origination fees (for those who borrow a Federal Direct loan)

Visit our Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships website for a full listing of cost-of-attendance components, to view our current standard cost-of-attendance budgets, and to learn about the variety of resources that may help reduce your overall costs.

Monthly Payment Plan

All students are now eligible to enroll in a Monthly Payment Plan to cover tuition and fees.  The plan will provide you with the option to start making smaller, monthly payments in advance of the semester. Enroll EARLY (even before registration) in order to lock in the longest payment term and smallest monthly payments!  To learn more, visit the Payment Plan Information page.

CSU Student Costs

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, the CSU must reserve the right, even after initial payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, or the Presidents, as appropriate. Changes in mandatory systemwide fees will be made in accordance with the requirements of the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Sections 66028 - 66028.6 of the Education Code).
