Cal Poly Pomona provides a home base to gather professionals and industry leaders in cybersecurity, exposing our students and community members to the latest technologies and methods in the field. Students have the opportunity to showcase their skills through hands-on demonstrations, discussing how cyber affects our lives and the importance of protecting digital information.

Cybersecurity Awareness Fair
The Cybersecurity and Awareness Fair is an interactive environment gathering students and industry experts in the fields of technology and security, hardware, cracking, privacy, crime, fraud and social implications. To learn more, visit the fair’s website.

Scholarship for Service Conference (SFSCon)
A cybersecurity training and professional development event, CyberCorps Scholarship for Service students and alumni can participate in hands-on training sessions in software security and malware analysis, network and Wi-Fi security, web security, cryptography, security operations center, forensics and incident response, and fundamentals on pentesting. The conference features professional opportunities including a job fair, resume clinic and a federal and state agency professional career panel. Attendees can also participate in a capture-the-flag competition.

Tech Symposium
A student-led and university-driven event, the Tech Symposium focuses on cybersecurity and fundamental system administration and networking concepts while gathering students, professionals and community members to participate in interactive discussions, workshops and networking. The Students With an Interest in the Future of Technology (SWIFT) organization spearheads the event and provides hands-on opportunities to students to enhance their skills and prepare them for work.
