Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Artificial intelligence (AI) explores how computers can perform tasks that typically require human thinking. Machine learning is a subcategory of AI, encompassing technologies and algorithms that enable computers to identify patterns, make decisions, and continuously improve. You'll engage with AI and machine learning through research and real-world challenges to better understand how intelligent technologies influence life today and in the future.

Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity encompasses the protection of computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, disruption, and attack. At Cal Poly Pomona, students meet the growing demand for cybersecurity expertise through hands‑on, collaborative learning with industry professionals, strengthening their technical proficiency and readiness to confront increasingly complex digital risks.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
With Geographic Information Systems (GIS), you use mapping and spatial data to analyze patterns, relationships and location-based information. You’ll work hands-on with industry-standard tools to develop the skills needed to apply spatial insight across a range of fields.
