Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
POSITION: Assistant Coach, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field (Multis and Horizontal Jumps). Appointment in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
STARTING DATE: October 1, 2022
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Demonstrated history of rules compliance and thorough knowledge of NCAA bylaws. Successful coaching experience at the collegiate, high school or club levels. Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete. Must have a strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes and a reputation of integrity, both professionally and in compliance matters. Proficiency in oral and written communication and administrative abilities necessary. Demonstrated ability working in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.
DUTIES: Serve as Assistant Coach for Cal Poly Pomona Men’s and Women’s Track and Field. The ideal candidate will have experience in the horizontal jumps and multi events. The University is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: recruiting and team travel, assist with practices and meets, camps/special projects, academic oversight and monitoring and fund raising. The Assistant Coach is responsible for complying with all institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations. Reports to the Head Coach under the guidance of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

SALARY: Salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
