Professional Development

Tools for Success

Facilities Planning & Management is committed to the professional growth and development of staff members. To support the Campus Strategic Plan (Initiative 5: Advance organizational development and employee excellence), the department invests in personnel by expanding professional development opportunities. This is achieved by offering a range of personal and professional development opportunities for employees tailored to specific roles and pathways for career advancement.

Tuition Reduction and Fee Waiver Programs

Tuition reduction and fee waiver are programs designed to reduce or waive state fees for eligible employees to take classes at a CSU campus to improve their job skills and abilities (work-related training) or to obtain the education needed to pursue CSU career goals (career development).

Approved CSU Fee Waivers are only applicable for Regular Academic Session (state-funded) courses and cannot be applied to courses that are Open University/Extension Programs. Please check the Schedule of Classes for the applicable academic term to determine if the class is “Regular Academic Session.”
