Tapping into your breathing pattern is one of the most readily available tools to help you find balance. Your breath is always with you, and you can use it to create calm wherever you are. Here are a few techniques to try: 

  • Take a few slow breaths, let the inhale and exhale be fuller than usual, but without strain 
  • Breathe into your belly, let the belly expand as you inhale and gently contract as you exhale 
  • Pay attention to your breath, just taking a moment to watch the breath is an effective mindfulness tool 
  • Try an app to help
