Kellogg Honors College Application
Why Join the Kellogg Honors College?
The Kellogg Honors College (KHC) is a community of scholars at Cal Poly Pomona where you’ll explore big ideas, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with faculty mentors who care about your success. As a KHC student, you’ll take exclusive honors courses, participate in civic engagement, and gain access to special events that enhance your learning experience. Whether you're an incoming freshman, a first-year student finishing your first year at CPP, or a transfer student, KHC provides an inclusive and supportive environment where you can challenge yourself and thrive.
To apply, you must first be admitted to Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) and meet the eligibility criteria for your student type.
For incoming first-year and second-year students, there are two rounds of applications each year:
-
Round 1: January to March
-
Round 2: April to May
The application process for incoming first-year, second-year, and non-HTCC-affiliated transfer applicants includes submitting a cover letter, essay, and resume. Applications submitted in Round 2 are typically reviewed in early June, with decisions released shortly thereafter.
The Kellogg Honors College (KHC) accepts applications from CPP transfer students year-round. The Transfer Application includes two pathways within the same form:
-
Honors-to-Honors Transfer Pathway – for students transferring from an HTCC-affiliated honors program (may qualify for automatic admission).
-
General Transfer Application – for students transferring from a non-HTCC-affiliated community college.
