Why Award a Digital Badge?

Earning digital badges provides a convenient way for employers to verify technical or marketable skills and knowledge acquired through Cal Poly Pomona’s courses or programs. This allows faculty and staff to fully prepare and invest in their students’ future careers prior to graduation. Students can build a set of digital credentials to demonstrate their learning. By awarding digital badges, faculty and staff help students develop their professional profile to accelerate their careers.

Create a New Digital Badge

Design and create a new digital badge for your course, program, or initiative at Cal Poly Pomona.

Create a New Professional Badge

Award any Cal Poly Pomona Competency Badge through our CPP Issuer catalog.

Become an Issuer

Issuers represent a college, department, program, or initiative that is responsible for creating and awarding digital badges.

Your 3-Step Guide to Award Digital Badges

  1. Select the Appropriate Form

    Fill out any of our forms based on your requirements. (All three forms found in the previous section.)

  2. Create Your Badge

    Align the digital badge with your syllabus/program, and create the badge on Badgr.

  3. Award Your Badge

    Begin awarding your badge directly through Badgr or integrate it with your Canvas course.
