Transfer Orientation

Welcome to your Transfer Orientation Program!

We are excited to welcome you to the Bronco family!  Our programs are designed to offer you a well-rounded experience with a variety of information, strategies and tools to give you a strong start as you begin your journey at Cal Poly Pomona. Your orientation program is designed to give you a comprehensive experience where you will learn about academic requirements, academic success strategies, campus involvement, volunteer opportunities, and register for your first-semester classes.
All incoming students admitted for the Fall 2020 semester are required to attend a mandatory orientation. Registration will open up in April and you can reference this video for a guide.

Orientation will:

  • Prepare you academically by introducing you to faculty and staff, teaching you about registration tools and academic culture, and connecting you to important resources.
  • Help you connect to campus by providing opportunities to meet other students.
  • Empower you to be an active learner by teaching you about CPP rules and policies, introducing you to resources that can help you when times are tough and giving you the tools to become a critical thinker.

Orientation consists of three parts

  1. Completing your Online Orientation which informs you of academic and and support services.
  2. Coming on-campus for your in-person Orientation where you will register for classes.
  3. Attending CPP Fest, which is the university offers a kickoff event, after orientation programs and before classes begin, called CPP Fest. Participating in CPP Fest is part of your new student experience.
