Recognizing Juneteenth

Recognizing Juneteenth

Juneteenth is an opportunity for us to gather in community to confront the pain and indignity that slavery has left behind, while also reflecting on the continued fight for freedom and justice — then and now. The responsibility for creating an anti-racist reality is a collective one, and all members of our community can join in making it happen.

As an institution committed to the core values of diversity and inclusivity, Student Affairs and Academic Affairs hosted Cal Poly Pomona's inaugural Juneteenth commemoration event, A Day of Remembrance, Reflection and Promise on Tuesday, June 14.
