Sensory Scientist (full-time), Pulmuone Foods USA, Fullerton, Calif.
This position will support sensory activities and eventually conduct goal-identified, routine sensory tests. The employee will assist in preparing and cooking samples and all basic sensory needs, including working with the chef team if needed. The sensory scientist also will maintain supplies and acquire samples. In addition, the employee will work with external panelists, assisting new panelists with e-questionnaires, notify them of upcoming sensory activities, track panelists' hours and pay.

Residential Nutrition Advocate, House of Ruth, Claremont, Calif.
Job Description: Under the direction of the shelter manager, the nutrition advocate will provide meal service to the emergency and transitional shelter residents. Will be responsible for developing healthy recipes, maintaining proper food sanitation practices, maintaining the edible garden, and coordinating the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas. May also provide cooking classes, education on healthy eating, meal planning, and food sanitation as needed and if time permits.
Job Qualifications: A minimum of two years' related experience in the food service industry and/or equivalent is necessary. The ability to work independently and make decisions is needed. Good organizational and maintenance skills, communication skills, and customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients who may be assisting with meal prep. High work ethic and discretion is mandatory. Computer literate. Valid California driver’s license and insurance required.
