I am pleased to announce that Dr. Larisa Preiser-Houy has agreed to serve as the Interim Associate Provost for Academic Planning and Faculty Excellence.
Larisa is a Bronco alumna with over 30 years of experience in serving the Cal Poly Pomona community. She brings extensive strategic and collaborative leadership experience to the position, including successful implementation of institutional mission-critical initiatives on semester conversion and WSCUC accreditation, as well as the establishment of the Singelyn Graduate School of Business (SGSB), the first named CSU graduate school of business in Southern California.
In her new role as an interim Associate Provost, Larisa will bring her commitment and passion for promoting student, faculty, and staff success by providing oversight and guidance for academic planning, including the implementation and assessment of the key initiatives of the Academic Master Plan. She will also collaborate on strategic cross-divisional and external partnership initiatives in alignment with the university’s strategic plan, and provide support to the incoming dean cohort.
Dr. Preiser-Houy holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems, and a Master of Business Administration with Strategic Management concentration from the Claremont Graduate University. Larisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from Cal Poly Pomona University. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Management Development Program.
