The College of Agriculture is seeking to expand its lecturer pool in each of its five departments.

The college invites applications from qualified professionals to join our part-time lecturer pool. It is especially interested in individuals who are qualified to teach animal science and plant science.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Appropriate master's degree
  • Relevant professional experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • ABD or Ph.D.
  • College-level teaching experience
  • For AHS applicants, a BS and RVT
  • Applicants whose work incorporates a global perspective and a demonstrated commitment to diversity in higher education.

Appointments: Part-time, temporary lecturer appointments are usually made for one academic quarter only (approximately 11 weeks at fractions usually ranging from 4/15 to 12/15 of full time—usually one to three classes; multiple quarter appointments are sometimes possible). Incumbents may be reappointed to subsequent quarters contingent upon funding and favorable performance evaluations.

Application procedure:  Candidates must submit originals of:

  • A cover letter stating which courses you are interested in teaching.
  • A completed application form.
  • Current resume or CV.
