What is project mailbox?

Project Mailbox is a mailbox service available to students who are experiencing homelessness and in need of a mailing address to receive important paper mail such as CalFresh application documents, unemployment, and other government assistant programs.Students can request to sign up for the service through the Care Center Assistance Application. Students will then meet with a Case Manager for an intake meeting and connected with additional resources as needed. Once approved, students will receive instructions via email on what address to use for paper mail and where they will be picking up their mail. 

Eligibility

Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the mailbox service:

  • Currently enrolled/Active CPP students
  • Experiencing homelessness or high levels of housing insecurity
  • Intake meeting with Case Manager
  • Students will be approved by academic year and can renew as needed
