CEIS Launches Newly Redesigned Department Websites

The College of Education and Integrative Studies has redesigned its Department of Education and Department of Early Childhood Studies websites to help improve navigation and accessibility to program information.

The new websites are located at www.cpp.edu/ceis/education and www.cpp.edu/ceis/early-childhood-studies. The overhaul follows feedback received by current and prospective students. Overall, the design has been modernized, the structure has been improved, information is communicated more effectively, and it’s mobile friendly.

“This website redesign is an important part of the college’s effort to improve communication with our many constituencies,” said CEIS Dean Jeff Passe. “Prospective students, in particular, should now find it easier to learn more about the department’s programs, faculty, scholarships, and important deadlines. We look forward to getting feedback from those who visit the redesigned sites.”

The Department of Education offers a master’s degree program in education and credential programs that prepare elementary, secondary and special education teachers. The department also features a combined program to allow students to earn both their teaching credential and master’s degree concurrently. The department recently announced its Summer Start program, which will allow students to complete their teaching credential in one year. The application deadline for Summer Start is Feb. 17.

The Department of Early Childhood Studies provides students the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive difference in the lives of children from birth to age eight. Graduates of the program pursue professional careers that include teaching infants, toddlers and preschoolers and administering programs that serve young children and their families.

In addition, the Department of Educational Leadership in CEIS launched its new website last spring, which can be found at www.cpp.edu/ceis/edleadership.

The Department of Educational Leadership prepares students to serve as educational administrators through its doctoral program and administrative services credential program. Many graduates go on to become school principals, superintendents of schools, curriculum and instruction specialists, faculty members and more. The doctoral program is currently accepting applications for summer 2020 at www2.calstate.edu/apply.

Eventually, all websites in CEIS will be redesigned including the departments of Liberal Studies, Ethnic and Women’s Studies and Interdisciplinary General Education.
