Master of Science in Economics Curriculum

The degree requires a total of 36 units. For the capstone, students may complete a research project or thesis. Successful completion of the research project or thesis awards the student 6 or 3 units respectively. This means that 10 or 11 additional courses are required depending on the choice of capstone. Every student is required to take 4 core courses, 2 field specialization courses (6000 level courses), and 4 elective courses (5 if writing a thesis), which can be chosen by the student to suit her/his interest. However, even the elective courses must be chosen according to the rules of the program.
