Dear Students and Campus Community,

We are reaching out to let you know that the Office of Study Abroad (OSA) just launched a new version of our Study Abroad website. We redesigned the navigation with you in mind, creating an easy-to-use resource to not only help you better understand our programs and services, but also to inform how the Office of Study Abroad can directly support you as a student, staff, faculty, and/or parent.

Our new pages feature:

  • Getting Started: There are a variety of ways to learn about the education abroad opportunities available through Cal Poly Pomona, starting with our weekly “Study Abroad 101” information meetings. Our office has the information students need to start their search and select the program that fits their academic needs.
  • Explore Program OptionsCPP currently offers over 100 study abroad programs to over 60 countries all around the world. Programs are academically focused with credit that counts toward graduation and degree progress. Explore the variety of program models, academic disciplines, co-curricular opportunities, and cultural engagement activities that CPP can support across our locations.
  • Advisor Resources:  Academic and faculty advisors play an integral role in the education abroad process for students. Our office provides this section of the website to equip academic advisors and faculty when advising students who are interested in education abroad.
  • Developing Faculty-led Programs(FLP):  Discover how the OSA can support your vision for an FLP.
  • Unpacking Your Experience: Welcome back Study Abroad Alumni! This new resource centralizes the many opportunities available to stay connected with the Office of Study Abroad and unpack your abroad experience.
  • FAQs for Parents & Families: With many incoming freshmen indicating an interest in education abroad, it’s likely that students are considering options abroad when choosing a university as well as before they graduate. At the Office of Study Abroad, we recognize the important role parents and families often play in supporting their students through the process of participating in a study abroad program. Our dedicated staff has created an FAQ page specific to assisting families through this journey.
  • Request a PresentationFaculty or departments can request a study abroad classroom presentation facilitated by the Office of Study Abroad staff. Each presentation can be adapted to cover a variety of topics based on the needs of the classroom session.
  • Sign-up for our Newsletter: Stay up to date on information such as scholarships, program application due dates and upcoming events.

We value your feedback and will continue to make updates in order to provide the best possible website experience for students and our campus community. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you about the new website, education abroad program options, or ideas to promote/advocate for global learning for CPP students.

Sincerely,
The Office of Study Abroad
