The College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE) proudly welcomes Shelly Yu-Tze Wang as Associate Director for Workforce Innovation & Career Engagement (WICE).
Shelly brings more than 18 years of experience in higher education, workforce development, and corporate partnership strategy. At WICE, she leads the advancement of Cal Poly Pomona’s Workforce Engagement Ecosystem, strengthening connections between education and industry through innovative partnerships and funding initiatives that expand regional workforce impact.
Her career spans leadership roles at TikTok, InStride, CSU Fullerton, the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and UC Irvine. Most recently at TikTok, she developed global workforce learning pathways in generative AI, product management, and data science, helping bridge the gap between academic preparation and real-world application.
Shelly holds an M.A. from Columbia University, dual B.A.s from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership at UMass Global. Her research explores how career education lattices influence engagement and retention, reflecting her dedication to workforce readiness, leadership development, and organizational culture.
Through her leadership at WICE, Shelly will help position Cal Poly Pomona as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and career advancement across Southern California and beyond.
