Become A Faculty Fellow!

Are you a CPP faculty member, lecturer or tenure-track, currently engaged in Digital Humanities scholarly work with students? Faculty Fellowships aim to extend CPP’s teacher-scholar model into DH. Fellowships will provide funding that may be used for a course release (3 WTUs) for one semester or as equivalent Summer research funding.  Learn more on the current Faculty Fellows  as well.  

  • Produce a Digital Humanities  project that can be shared with CPP.
  • In collaboration with the DHC Coordinators, organize at least two workshops, panels, showcases over the course of the academic year (these may be in collaboration with other Faculty Fellows).
  • Serve as a member of our Steering Committee for the academic year to help guide programming, engage in outreach to faculty, students, and the broader community, and select next
  • Contribute to the DHC’s sustainability. This could include applying (as PI, Co-PI, or Senior Personnel) for an external grant or other source of funding, or developing a plan for fundraising or other initiatives to advance DHC’
  • Complete a post-fellowship self-assessment plan.

In selecting Fellows, we aspire to student-centered, interdisciplinary cross-pollination. Priority will be given to projects centered on student success that will connect faculty and student research to the CPP community (and beyond). Priority may also be given as well to projects oriented toward onboarding or establishing foundations for the DHC, such as expanding access to technology,  establishing programming, and securing external funding. 

Applicants:   email the DHC
(1) a current resume (please highlight in bold font)
(a) experiences related to Digital Humanities and
(b) past work related to creating or leading systems, such as organizations, programs, majors, minors, websites, annual events, or onboarding orientations
(2) a projected timeline, and
(3) a short (600-800 word) essay clarifying the objectives, significance, and feasibility of your project:
- what you intend to do with funds (Fall or Spring course release? Summer funds?)
- the nature of your project, including the role of students,
- the significance of your project,
- articulate self-assessment plans.
