Will Cowan
He studies the history of weather and water extremes in the North American West, fusing environmental history, history of science, and disaster studies. Will has contributed to documentaries by Weathered, Off the Beaten Path, and American Experience, and has written pieces for Environmental History, Western Historical Quarterly, The LA Times, and the Library of Congress. He teaches Liberal Studies 4011: “Landscape, Place, & Power,” where students use digital tools and methods to develop their semester-long “Sense of Place” projects.
