Stereotyping in a Digital Age: Erin Beghli
The Author Meets Critics event featured a discussion of What’s Wrong with Stereotyping? by Erin Beeghly, examining how stereotyping shapes everyday human reasoning and how similar assumptions are embedded in data, algorithms, and digital systems. The conversation encouraged thoughtful reflection on how stereotypes are formed, reinforced, and challenged across both human and computational contexts. The event was well attended, and lunch was provided.
