Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Program

As the activity of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/Drones increases on our campus, Cal Poly Pomona Environmental Health and Safety is committed to supporting the safe usage of UAS for instructional, research, and work related tasks while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. The UAS/Drone Program ensures compliance to these laws/policies and also protects personnel, animals, property, and the environment on and off campus. All personnel, including faculty, staff, students, and third parties/contractors wishing to operate drones on Cal Poly Pomona property, or as part of a Cal Poly Pomona activity (instructional, research, student organization), must request approval prior to flight.
