BIO 4040 - Advanced Genetics, 3 units, in-person lecture course.

Prerequisite BIO 2400.

Offered in fall 2024, TuTh 10:00 - 11:15 AM

 

 

 This course will take an in-depth look at the field of genetics. You'll get to see genetics both from a historical point of view (the groundbreaking experiments and the most important people) and a from practical one (timeless methods of investigation as well as recent innovations). This course will cover topics such as how DNA is mutated, DNA recombination, CRISPR and its applications, gene regulation and epigenetics, genetics of development, and others.
