Faculty and staff, this is your opportunity to highlight how your course or program brings learning to life and creates a meaningful impact on students, the campus community, and beyond! Awarded courses and programs will be featured on the PolyX Hub, receive ongoing University publicity, and be recognized as official Polytechnic Experiences (PolyX).

Fall 2026 PolyX Writing Workshop

Interested in applying for the PolyX Hub, but not sure where to start? You've come to the right place! The PolyX Writing Workshop is a supportive, collaborative space for faculty and staff across all colleges to develop and strengthen their PolyX applications. Join us on Tuesday, October 13, for this virtual session.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Understand the seven PolyX criteria and their application to courses and programs.
- Design impactful, career-connected learning experiences.
- Connect and exchange ideas with colleagues across campus.

You’re invited to the 9th Annual PolyX FYE Showcase, where Cal Poly Pomona students will bring their learning to life through innovative research and creative projects developed in their PolyX FYE courses. Join students, faculty, staff, and members of our campus community on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM in Ursa Major at the Bronco Student Center as we celebrate bold ideas, meaningful collaboration, and the transformative impact of Become By Doing!

Turning Badges into Interview Stories

Join us for a virtual workshop designed to help students turn academic, work, and co-curricular experiences into stronger interview stories. Participants will learn how to connect their experiences to career competencies, use the STAR method effectively, and explore how digital badges can help make their skills more visible.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this workshop, students will be able to:
- Identify relevant experiences from academic, work, or co-curricular settings that can be used in interviews.
- Connect those experiences to core career competencies and skills.
- Develop talking points or short interview stories that communicate those competencies clearly.
