Industry Experience through Class Projects

ABM students collaborate with professionals and companies in the agricultural industry to create business plans for current agricultural products on the market.  These projects help the students develop skills in how to interact and act within the professional world.  The classes provide the students with experience in creating business plans and pitching business sales.  The classes cover all aspects of the business from marketing research, financial analysis, and promotional aspects of the business plans.

Dr. Merlino and Professor Farias' Marketing and Advertising classes create original and repositioned marketing plans and advertising campaigns for agriculture products and services.  There are a variety of great inventions in which the students brainstorm, create a marketing plan, perform research, and pitch their product to an audience.  The students are able to experience some of the realities of what it takes to create a product.
