Health Insurance
The California State University requires Exchange Visitors to have health insurance that covers emergency evacuation and repatriation. The International Center worked with the brokerage firm John C. Breckenridge Insurance Solutions to research health insurance providers and give us the best health insurance coverage at the lowest cost for Cal Poly Pomona.
AETNA Student Insurance is the policy selected for 2019-2020. The cost is $1,330 annually. All Exchange Visitors must purchase the annual policy. Exchange Visitors with dependents must also purchase the plan for their family members listed on their DS-2019.
To purchase and enroll in the insurance policy, go to JCBins.com.
- Find your school by typing in the box Cal Poly Pomona.
- Select International Program and Go. Here you will find a video about the USA health care system. We recommend that you watch the video.
- Scroll down to Get Started. Select your academic level and indicate if you have dependents (a spouse of children). If not, select zero.
- Select the Annual Term. Read the Important Enrollment Information and select Yes, I agree to the above information and continue to the next step. Create an account, complete the form and pay with a credit card.
